Ten High-Interest Plays with Differentiated Reading Levels - Level 1
APPROXIMATE READING YEAR LEVEL: 2–4
Readers' Theatre was written so that students of different reading levels or ages could perform together in a readers' theatre setting. Many students love the drama of having an exciting part to read, and shy students often do better with readers' theatre because they don't have to act - just stand or sit and read aloud. Some stage props are mentioned in the script, but the plays can be done without staging or costumes. So any day at school can be a day of theatre with strengthened reading skills as a result.
