Years 7-8 (Revised)
Get ready to go green! It’s never too early to teach children about the importance of taking care of the environment they live in. With the exciting and educational lessons in the Going Green series for Years F–8, your primary students will embrace the message and adopt sustainable practices that can be used throughout their lifetimes. What’s more, the series has been revised as of 2014 to assist Australian primary teachers in incorporating the cross-curriculum priority of sustainability into their integrated teaching of Australian Curriculum learning areas, including geography, English, mathematics and science.
This revised Australian edition of Going Green: Years 7–8, is packed full of ideas for reusing everyday items to create learning activities, group projects and even artistic masterpieces. Students will learn to reduce rubbish, refuse excess packaging, reuse items and recycle. They will also be encouraged to research and learn more about preserving the environment, and to respond by sharing their new learning with others. Lesson topics include New Kinds of Plastic, Electronic Landfill, Green Collar Jobs and many more!
Other titles in the Going Green series include Going Green: Years F–2, Going Green: Years 3–4 and Going Green: Years 5–6.
