Systemic Shifts Toward Personalized Learning
Like many school districts, Lindsay Unified School District faced difficulty in meeting the needs of diverse students populations. Lindsay Unified realised it needed to make significant changes to effectively equip all students with vital 21st-century skills. Beyond Reform details the district’s shift from a traditional time-based education system to a learner-centred performance-based system. In adopting and tailoring Lindsay Unified’s instructional model to their needs, F–12 teachers and administrators can embark on their own transformation toward establishing a revised education system that empowers and motivates all students to succeed.
Using Beyond Reform, F–12 teachers and administrators will learn to
- transform student learning using a performance-based system
- reflect on personal leadership growth, frame important conversations and provide effective feedback
- align instructional decisions with a unified instructional vision
- ensure a successful transformation for all staff.
