Leslie Grant
Leslie W. Grant, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Teaching and Learning at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Her research interests focus on classroom-based assessments and teacher quality. She is involved in several research projects, including an international comparative case study of award-winning teachers in the United States and China. Leslie is the co-author of several books, including Teacher-Made Assessments: How to Connect Curriculum, Instruction, and Student Learning (Eye on Education, 2008) and Student Achievement Goal Setting: Using Data to Improve Teaching and Learning (Eye on Education, 2009).
Leslie has worked with school districts and has presented at international, national and state level conferences in the areas of classroom-based assessments and the use of data to improve student learning. She was a teacher and instructional leader before serving as a developer of state customised assessments for a test publishing company. Leslie received her doctoral degree in Educational Policy, Planning and Leadership from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
